Fourth of July.

Instead of a sky full of bursts exploding in one session, we enjoyed a long stream of singular pops throughout the night. Earlier in the day I had read a post by my Photography teacher, Wanda Kersey, on the Adult Class Facebook Group. Michael mentioned taking photographs, so after we had finished dinner, I set up the camera to try some of her tips.

I didn't take a lot of photos, but here is one that I felt accomplished what I set out to do. I also took some video and used my new tripod head.

Photos take thought to set up and it is satisfying to get just the right shot. Video gives me a more in the moment sense of satisfaction. The sound of the air and commotion from the freeway below all take me back to that night.
