New Family Blog

For the longest time now, I have been pondering over the idea of creating a family blog. Family near and far can experience events that they were unable to make with pictures, and we can stay updated on upcoming events.
I spent about 12 hours or so creating this blog and now it is up-to-date. I post all family events, so you may be in someof the pictures if you are a family friend of the Campas.. enjoy!

Leona Naess

It's nice to post a video from work again--I love having artists in that I am learning about for the first time. It's like finding a special, pretty shell at the beach. A shiny little treasure. Leona Naess has a soothing voice and her music is playful and sweet. Take a listen. I did camera to HER left.

Yes or No on Prop 8

So although voting day is over, this proposition has not gone away. Many people are gathering to rally against the fact that it was passed, taking it to the higher ups, and there have also been petitions floating around. I signed one that was a letter to Arnold, and then there was THIS video...
very interesting.

I really do hope that this issue gets settled. I strongly believe that this goes against what our country stands for and I had hoped that we would be ready to make this apparent. I understand why, from a religious stand point, people voted for this to pass, but at the end of the day, the only people that are affected are gay couples. And it is a negative, upsetting, unfair effect.

I voted.

Today, I voted.
I was a little nervous, anxious...but it was such an exciting moment, a cool slightly cloudy day, quiet and relaxed. Mikey's bday, a nice flow to the minutes from waking until now--while I work and watch the results. This is a race that I am a part of--I cast my vote and i feel the responsibility and power of that action. It inspires me to do continue to take interest and to find other ways to make my mark in my own personal way.

Ode to Horror

I meant to post this Halloween night-this was the first year that I didn't have a costume pre-planned, didnt feel like I HAD to be at some crazy party getting wasted. I enjoyed going home and helping to prepare for saturday night's party at my house with my family. It was a nice halloween. And I feel good about that. The horror genre is something to enjoy though, here's a video that is an ode to that.
