Sometimes I feel anxious, impatient, and results in an overall moodiness--that I am concscious of, but feel like I have little control over.
I always stress over the possible factors that could be contributing to this--my job, LA traffic, my diet, or maybe it's just my period.
Yoga helps some, I've found that quiet, "me" times, really help me to focus and result in overall wellness. Right now my "me" things are shopping at traders joe's, playing soduku, readign a book, painting, or writing in my journal. With blogging, it is hard to get too personal, also I am on the computer all day, so journaling is a nice break--where I can take my clothes off, lay down, and not "edit" myself.
One thing I learned from one theatrical professor in college, was not to "edit" yourself when writing. Write whatever comes out-everything--no matter how weird or off topic- that has helped me to really focus on what is bothering and sometimes makes me feel better.

One Week Til The Election

I try to post videos here that stand out to me-no matter what they are about. This video made me tear up towards the end. Which was shocking. I'm hopeful for our future, I am a part of it- - and if I want change to happen, then I have to BE that change.

Proposition 8

I had to post this because I got such a response when I posted it on my myspace bulletin two days ago.
Some people responded by sending me videos that oppose it-and other people were pleased with the accuracy and creativity of the video. I hope people will see that this proposition is discriminatory and vote "No", but I realize most will have difficulty overcoming this hurdle even now. Whatever your decision, I encourage you to vote-since that is the way to let your opinion be heard. I read a great quote from Ghandi yesterday that said "We each need to be the change we want to see."

Bikram Yoga

It's been about five months since I started Bikram Yoga. I like taking part in physical activity, I wanted to do continue with dance, but always find myself frustrated because I may not be at the level as the class or it may not be advanced enough for me.
Bikram Yoga is "Hot Yoga" the room is heated, you sweat, the room smells funky.. but what has kept me going is the fact that it is all my own.
Whenever I feel like going, if I am stressed, or feeling pain, I just go, quietly and leave quietly.
I have a problem with being consistent with activities like this, but so far, I have been very consistent. I am also noticing changes in my physical body that I like and the sense of competition I feel with myself each time to do better--get more flexible, feel more at ease.
I wish I went more during the week (I only go once or twice) but I guess that is pretty good considering I have to work etc.
I highly recommend for anyone who wants to feel good physically but takes a lot to get motivated.
It is tough at first and hard to handle the heat, but you get used to it and really start to enjoy after a while. What I like the most is that there are people from every body type at yoga.
This guy makes it look so easy :P

Pilot Touhill

So many great new videos up on I'm behind with my reports..
A friend of mine came in the studio with a new musical project that he calls Pilot Touhill. At first, he was apprehensive about it not fitting in with the HipHopDelight genre... but I think it works just fine...unique, groovy, cool, and definitely beat driven as is most good hip hop. Maybe his music doesn't fit into any categories, but neither do most things I enjoy.

Akil the MC of Jurassic 5 stopped in on monday and gave a killer live performance. Actually, I just uploaded about 18 other really great videos to so if you like this one, go over and check the others out!!!

Female MCs

Of the long list of things that I wish I could master (but probably won't be able to) one remains: to be a female rapper. Haha I know that sounds weak, but seriously, female rappers deserve all the respect for working it in a male dominated genre. I am amazed. Female musicians in general are inspirational. Lately I've been listening to Emiliana Torrini(beautiful) and Santogold (awesome!) and I am in love with Rodrigo y Gabriela (Gabriela+guitar=masterpiece)
Here is a young MC that I was blown away with when she stopped in our studio:

The Economy--The Election

So these videos are obviously ones I didnt work on myself, but I have been watching more political videos on,, and reading The Red County website daily...I am disappointed in the turn the campaign is taking...People are losing their jobs, their homes, and the election is being treated like some high school popularity contest. Although it's important to understand everything about our future president, I would rather know that he can handle the issues in the time that it matters most. I wish we would get back to the important stuff.
